About Us
The Joint Building and Construction Council is registered as a Company founded by The Architectural Association of Kenya (AAK) and the Kenya Association of Building and Civil Engineering Contractors (KABCEC) in 1980.
The Committee is representative of building owners and developers, professional consultants and general and specialist contractors who contribute their knowledge and experiences to the compilation of the JBCC documents that:
- Portray the consensus view of the constituent members;
- Are published in the interests of standardization and good practice
- With an equitable distribution of contractual risk
- For use throughout Africa and elsewhere!
All JBCC documents have been approved by the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) and for use by national, provincial and local authorities in Kenya
Periodic revisions to the JBCC contract documentation suite ensure that documentation remains current.
The name, the abbreviation and the logo of the JBCC is a registered trademark
